Chanterelle Foraging
My friend David took me out to forage for Chanterelles today and we hit the mother load. We collected maybe 35 pounds. Some were sold to local restaurants the rest we kept. If anyone wants some mushrooms, let me know :) More pictures of fungus can be found here on flickr.

Point Reyes in the Rain
Mel, Sheilah and I decided to go to Point Reyes today for a hike. We ended up completely soaked but got to see the inside of the lighthouse. Someone had fallen on the staircase coming up from the lighthouse, so they closed the visitor center while paramedics assessed the person who had fallen. There was no place for people to go other than the lighthouse.
